Yesterday, July 5, Ocean Companies joined the community for a beach cleanup and BBQ at Westhaven State Park. The Beach Cleanup effort extended down to Grayland with more than 60 volunteers. Our site at Westhaven saw more than 20 bags of garbage collected from the beach. After careful sorting, we pulled out another bag for recycling.
Afterwards, we pulled the grill back to the plant and our hard-working crew enjoyed hot dogs, watermelon and lemonade on a hot summer day. We have some of the best people in the business at Ocean Co’s and it was great to take a break and enjoy everyone’s company before getting back to work.
Thanks to everyone who participated. The day was a perfect example of our three core principles: Good Jobs. Clean Oceans. Strong Communities.
