When using a ladder, make sure to set the ladder on a stable and level surface. Also be sure to set the ladder 1 foot away from the wall for every 4 feet of ladder rise. Every year there are roughly 180,000 ladder-related emergency room visits by works and homeowners and 150 deaths associated with ladder operations.
